» Apartment at Park View, Gurgaon.
This is one of our recently completed projects of an apartment (3 Bedroom with Study Room and Servant Room) with a super area of 2205 SQ FT. area, Parkview apartments on the main gurgaon- sona road.
The client's brief was a contemporary & straight -lined design with ample storage as per the needs & lifestyle of a family of four, husband- wife with two kids ;a boy aged 9 yrs. & a girl aged 5 yrs. One of the bedrooms was converted into an open kitchen that opens onto the dining area to give a lager kitchen & a feel of openness to the place. The existing kitchen is converted into a formal meeting room which is connected to the entrance lobby.
As we enter in, there is a striking bright orange colored textured wall with an ethnic sculpture on it to give an accent to the entrance lobby. There is a fancy LED to give variations of light & a low height shoe cabinet which also serves as a display counter.
Then we are led into the living cum dining area which also serves as a family area. The color-scheme used here is warm & muted one with a combination of peach & white, while orange, rust & browns serve as accent colors. The dining table is in dark wood with a glass top & the crockery cabinet duplicates that design with glass doors, glass top & a sleek wash-basin. The wall against the crockery- cabinet has the same orange textured paint as the entrance wall to unite the two spaces. Display nooks are provided in the form of a corner display unit & a TV unit provide with niches & spot-lights.
The open kitchen with a breakfast counter overlooks the dining area. The front wall is covered with a brick-faced ban- board to give a rugged feel to it & enhance the feel of the place. The false- ceiling in the area is used effectively for placing the lights which are a combination of subtle fluorescents & warm halogens .Kitchen has a suspended false ceiling in the centre with lights all around it for uniformly lighting the place.
The son's room is designed on the space theme with pictures of planetary bodies , steel finish, telescope & blue & brown color- scheme. While the daughter's room has a more girly feel with its pink & fuchsia & fancy drapes. The ceiling has clouds painted on it & the headboard side wall has the Disney theme wallpaper on it.
The master bedroom is done in shades of deep purple & magenta with wooden flooring to give it a more relaxing feel. The wall connecting the sleeping & dressing area is covered with a purple patterned wall paper Ceiling height cupboards are provided in all the rooms to take care of the storage.
